AN ARTIST'S LIFE

What is Art?

Well or me, art is the most creative expression of an idea that shows a lot of quality, production, realm of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance. It speaks so many things of what a person has to say, a story or a nostalgia perhaps, or may it be a flamboyant description of a person, thing, etc. But if we dig deeply to what we can all understand not by what it is defined, we all would find out is that it doesn't matter how beautiful it is or how aesthetically perfect it was designed or amazing it was delivered, but how we will all appreciate it, and that is all that matters.

The best part about art is that it's all around us. Try looking at your back or at your right, art is probably present in your vision. Just like sitting here and making this discourse, i suddenly noticed the mouse i'm using is art because i appreciate how unique the design of my mouse is and of course the purpose of it in my work, and in my life. Art is in my everyday routine. I wake up every morning trying to find ways to make my outfit unique and true enough to be appreciated by my friends. I come home and turn and plug my iPod to the speakers and listen to songs that really eases and relaxes my mind from all those stress from school. And do I appreciate it, oh you bet I do. I love music because it is one of the most expressive arts next to theater and dance because you can not only hear it's beautiful rhythm but you can also relate to it's embracing lyrics and way you sing it really puts your heart into it being connected with want it has to say. Then comes dinner time and I help my mom cook and serve the table. Trying to find the right ingredients and blend satisfy the taste buds of my family and dishing out those scrumptious food is art. Even setting up the table is art for me, i make sure that the table setting is tremendous and I know that my family appreciates how I prepare it for them. What's a perfect dinner without a perfect atmosphere?

Having art deal with my everyday routine makes it very important and relevant in my life and I know that almost everyone, especially of my age, agrees with me. If not, then by all means discover and explore your inner creativity and find the art in you.

The Philippines is developing and progressing each year and looking at our country we can see and distinguish alot of development in the society and that for me is beauty and art because having places urbanized and look extravagant says alot. Also in the lifestyle of people, it may vary according to the economy. In businesses, Publicity is one way to attract a lot of buyers may it be billboards and fliers or commercial and these are all forms of modern art such as multimedia arts. We do not only appreciate it but it also help make the economy better in terms of sales and marketing.

When it comes to Social people may say that there are no arts present in certain situations but I strongly disagree. Having alot of people communicate, debate, deliberate or whatsoever is art already, it's literature . We talk in different ways, some of us speak in a different manner or maybe some of us have this unique accent or one of us have a way with words and how he delivers it. Even a person not talking supplies art by his expression, he may not speak but it's beautifully painted in his face what he has to say or react. Social doesn't only pertain to how people talk but with how they move and act. Photographs often capture people doing something very interesting may it be skating, sleeping, hugging, etc. that is a big art especially when it comes to fashion photography. There's always a story behind a photoshoot and sometimes you wouldn't know what they are trying to portray you have to look deeper into it and extract piece by piece how these shots interact with you and with the society.

As my previous design philosophy goes, MIX AND MATCH, is trying to get the right blend of art especially in fashion and clothing. We can never have too many nor too little art in our lives. There is no wrong art only misjudgment but we shouldn't worry to much on that because we decide how our lives go and change and how it can be appreciated by other people. We make our own art.

MY MANIFESTO

I am a Huge Fan of Fashion.

I mean i love everything about it.

The Styles, the Trends, the Glamour and everything there is beyond it's limelight.

And that it is why I loved Architecture.

Architecture is somehow different kind of criteria which also falls into the category of styles and trends, only it is applies within limitations to a building, a house, or a structure.

As most of you know I wanted to become a Fashion Designer when I grow up. Fashion Design was actually my first choice of course when I decided to pursue my mom's dreams of becoming an Architect.

Now for me, Architecture is one of the greatest subject that complies with design matter and our industry.

Next to fashion, Architecture is the next big deal that also speaks the language of GLAM and STYLE. Well just seeing all the beautifully constructed buildings from then upto now is like opening a wardrobe of the most vintage Louis Vuitton to the latest there is. There's also history in it's beauty that evolves from something new to something extraordinary, or from something old to something modern.

So being an architecture student i like to apply fashion in my designs. I want people to see a new generation of Architecture, or another era, perhaps. It's time for me to make a stand to all those fashion designer/architects who wanted to make a change in the continuous change of our generation. THE FASHION OF ARCHITECTURE the best there is to come. Just like Louis Vuitton, being an Architect and a Fashion Designer at the same time wasn't impossible for him.

For the next few years in college i'll be sticking to my own category of design. I'll design structures, builings, houses, etc that has a resemblance to fashion may it be, the style, the look, etc. And some may look like clothes, or dresses.

So that's my goal, to implement new design to new structure in a new generation. :)

my 1st sketch that inspired me to pursue my dream of becoming a fashion architect. :)
(doesn't it look like a lady gaga dress minus the huge epaulets?)
